Posted by Allergy Apparel on 10th May 2024

Food Allergy Awareness Week (FAAW) is fast approaching, and here at Allergy Apparel, we're gearing up for an exciting celebration! From May 12th to May 18th, join us as we raise awareness, promote inclusivity, and support the food allergy community.

Giveaway Alert: Win a Carrier of Choice!

To kick off FAAW in style, we've teamed up with SnackSafely™ and Auvi-Q™ for an exclusive giveaway. Starting May 12th, we'll be giving away two carriers each day to help you keep your epinephrine (and other meds) within reach at all times. Don't miss out on your chance to win—click here to enter the giveaway!

Keep an eye on our social media channels and website for daily giveaway announcements.

6 Tips for Food Allergy Awareness Week:

1.Take the time: Take the time to refresh your memory and others on when and how to administer your epinephrine.

2. Spread Awareness: Social Media is powerful. Share experiences, reminders, and help educate others. My favorite Allergy Apparel post, which could be considered bold but sometimes we just need to be blunt, "CARRY YOUR F*CKIN EPIPENS!" I dare you to repost it.

3. Promote Inclusivity: Advocate for inclusivity and accommodation for individuals with food allergies in schools, workplaces, and public spaces. Encourage allergy-friendly policies and practices, such as allergen-free menu options, allergy training for staff, and designated safe zones for those with allergies.

4. Support Allergy-Friendly Businesses: Show your support for allergy-friendly businesses and organizations by shopping for allergy-friendly products, dining at allergy-aware restaurants, and participating in events hosted by allergy advocacy groups. Your patronage helps promote a safer and more inclusive environment for individuals with food allergies.

5. Be Prepared!!!: CARRY YOUR MEDICATION! Whether you're going for a run or dining out, have your medication within reach.  JUST DO IT!

6. Practice Empathy and Understanding: Show empathy and understanding towards individuals with food allergies by listening to their experiences, respecting their dietary restrictions, and offering support and accommodation whenever possible. Small acts of kindness and consideration can make a big difference in someone's life

Join us in celebrating Food Allergy Awareness Week and making a difference in the lives of those with food allergies. Together, we can raise awareness, promote inclusivity, and create a safer and more supportive environment for everyone.
