Adventures of being a small-business owner
Supporting small business!
I started Allergy Apparel in 2008, a couple of years after my son was diagnosed with a nut allergy. I started with food allergy t-shirt designs to help parents and kids at preschools and soon expanded to all things related to food allergies.
My life is full! I love it. I love spending time with my family, friends and I love traveling to the beach on weekends in the summer.I’m a die-hard soccer mom, gym rat, weekend surfer, crazy chicken owner, wife to my true-love, small business owner and a mom to two teenagers.
After winning my battle against breast cancer in 2018, I was reminded of the value of every day and every minute. With so many hobbies and interests, I don’t have time to fool around. The time in my office needs to be utilized efficiently.
I buy my products from all over the world and most are all made by small businesses, like myself. It’s important to support small businesses when the world is becoming more dominated by Amazon and similar businesses.Yes, I sell on Amazon. With that said, I am going to try to commit to giving a shout out to small businesses on my blog over the next months.
My first shout-out is going to be Sticker Mule. Sticker Mule is a US based company and according to craft.co, they employ 176 persons. You can read a bit more about their history here. I started buying my custom Allergy Apparel stickers from them years ago. They make the process simple, affordable and they are quick! And if you buy enough, you receive their hot sauce. I confess that I have no idea how hot sauce and stickers are related but as a hot sauce addict, I’ll take it. In addition, they offer custom keychains, magnets, coasters, packaging tape, poly mailers and they recently added bubble mailers. Sign up with Sticker Mule and they will notify you of their killer deals. They are currently offering 10 custom keychains for $19 plus FREE shipping.
